The TBF310 GS is a top range model with an extra large measuring capacity which can be used wherever there is a power point. Having the display/printer unit separate from the base makes this unit highly portable; a carrybag is available, and ideal for off-site visits or in clinics where space is tight and the ability to pack the unit away in a cupboard after use would be an advantage. It is a high-precision, high weighing capacity instrument giving a total body printout which includes weight (in metric or imperial units), basal metabolic rate, body mass index, body fat percentage, body fat mass, fat free mass, estimated muscle mass, total body water and goal setter target ranges through the use of the 4 polar electrodes. On entering the patient's height, gender and age using the display keyboard, the TBF310 GS records the patient's weight and then makes leg to leg impedance measurements, calculating body composition levels. These can then be printed off on the inbuilt printer or saved to a connected PC computer. It has an RS232C interface and is supplied complete with a 5V AC adapter.

Tanita GMON Health Monitor software is available which is suitable for use with the TBF310 GS. The software allows an active database to be maintained so that reports may be generated and stored or printed for later reference.

If the additional measuring capacity is not required, the TBF300 GS may be more appropriate since it is similar to the TBF310 GS but has a standard measuring capacity (0 - 200kg x 100g / 0 - 31st x 0.2lb). Spare thermal printer rolls suitable for use with the TBF310 GS are also available.
